[A Posteriori video album cover] December 15, 2006: An A Posteriori video album is released, in DVD format. It contains the complete music of the original album, set to visuals in the form of kaleidoscope images. The video takes the form of a journey through a solar system, travelling between planets and moons, with a different set of images for each track.

The video album also contains an interview with Michael Cretu, in both German and English versions, and a photo gallery. Also included are the four dance remixes of the album songs previously available only as downloads and on a vinyl EP.


December 7, 2006: The nominations for the American 49th Annual GRAMMY Awards are announced. Enigma is nominated with the album A Posteriori in the category "Best New Age Album". The other nominated artists in this category are Enya, Gentle Thunder with Will Clipman & AmoChip Dabney, Peter Kater and Andreas Vollenweider. The award ceremony will be held on February 11, 2007 in Los Angeles, USA.

Enigma has earlier been nominated for these awards with the album Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!, in the categories "Best New Age Album" and "Best Recording Package", in 1998. These nominations did not result in any awards.


[Eppur Si Muove EP cover] November 7, 2006: Eppur Si Muove, a 12" vinyl only EP is released, containing dance remixes of four of the songs from the A Posteriori album. The remixes are by Tocadisco, Ralf Hildenbeutel, Jean F. Cochois and Boca Junior. Three of these remixes (of Eppur Si Muove, The Alchemist and Dreaming Of Andromeda) have previously been available for purchase as downloads. All four remixes will be included in the upcoming DVD edition of the album.


August 9, 2006: Virgin Germany has announced that there won't be a regular release of the single Goodbye Milky Way, as was previously planned. Instead a single version of the song will be available for purchase as a download, from the same date the new album is released.
