Traces of the release

• August 8, 1996: We learn that a single from the new album is scheduled for October
• August 30, 1996: A release date is known - October 14. The title is rumoured to be Beyond The Invisible
• September 17, 1996: There will be three formats of the single; 2 track, standard and digipak
• October 1, 1996: The title of the single is confirmed: Beyond The Invisible. The song itself is said to be more vocal-based, nothing like Return To Innocence, and with a female vocalist
• October 4, 1996: The single will include 3 versions of the title plus the songs Almost Full Moon and Light Of Your Smile. The US release date for the single will be October 15
• October 7, 1996: The names of the 3 versions of the title track will be: "Radio Edit", "Album Version" and "Short Radio Edit". Revised world-wide release date for the single: October 21, a one week postponement. The video accompanying the release features ice dancers, performing outdoors in all seasons. It will be premiered on MTV Europe on October 14. Sandra and Michael Cretu both sing on the Beyond The Invisible
• October 21, 1996: Beyond The Invisible, the first single from the Enigma 3 album, is released. It is confirmed that one of the two additional tracks on the single is a bonus track, so it will not appear on the album
