Reviews external to this site
Michael Cretu prefers to have a low media profile, so there are few
appearances by him. To promote the new album, only one press conference was
held, in Ibiza for a select group of journalists. In addition, the
following media appearances are known in conjunection with Enigma 3:
- Enigma 3: Austrian radio interview (Austria 3, Austria, October 11, 1996)
- Short radio interview in conjunction with the new single
Beyond The Invisible. Michael Cretu talks about the
work on the third Enigma album and what he feels about performing
concerts
- dotmusic - inside track on ENIGMA The man behind the mystery - Michael Cretu (Dotmusic, UK, October 21, 1996)
- A medium-length interview and feature on Enigma. Michael Cretu talks
about the new album and it's place with the previous albums. He also
talks about the work by video director Julien Temple
- Billboard, USA, November 23, 1996
- This magazine contains a long article about Enigma. One of the
interesting points is that Michael Cretu will make 5 more Enigma
albums after this year's Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi!.
The deal with record company Virgin will run until at least 2010,
with an album every 3 years. The article also mentions that the first
3.5 million copies of the Enigma 3 album have a translucent PVC cover,
which allows the artwork to be seen from both sides.
